UPCOMING (and ongoing) EVENTS

• Ladies' Bible Study 
  • The ladies meet every Thursday at 9:30am at the church.  There is a nursery available.  There are no meetings on days when the Tunkhannock Area School District does not have school scheduled (including summer months) or on days when school is cancelled or delayed due to inclement weather.  Please contact us if you have any questions.

• Men's Prayer and Fellowship Breakfast  
  • Note:  There will be NO men's breakfast until the Fall of 2008 - at which time we may try to begin meeting in the evening instead of the early morning hours.  The men meet for prayer and fellowship on the first Friday of every month at the church.  The meeting begins at 6:00am with (a free) breakfast and informal fellowship - followed by a time of prayer.  Most leave at 7:00am for work, but some leave sooner - as necessary, and some stay longer - as time and desire permit.  If you would like to have someone call and remind you each month on the Thursday evening before, please contact us and leave your name and phone number.

• Fellowship Dinner
  • On the first Sunday of each month we have Communion during the morning service.  It is our custom to have a fellowship dinner immediately following this service - an informal time when we can all relax and get to know each other a little better.  Everyone is welcome to come and stay.  Many people bring food to share - such as a casserole, or a salad, or a dessert, but it is not required - and we always have plenty of food for all.  Please join us if you can.

• Activities for Youth 
  • Word of Life Club  (Please contact us if you have any questions, or see Jeff Empfield or Chet Hiester)
    • For children from first through sixth grade
    • Meets Sundays from 5:00 pm to 6:55 pm
    • Activities include:
      • Bible study with some Scripture memory
      • Games
      • Snacks
      • Fun
      • Community Projects

    • For young people from seventh through twelfth grade
    • Meets Sundays from 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm
    • Activities include:
      • Praise and Worship
      • Study Time
      • Game Time
      • Snacks
      • Outreach
      • Special Activities

• Vacation Bible School - for 2008  (Monday thru Friday)
  • Tentatively scheduled for August 4th to August 8th, 2008.
  • Times should remain at:  09:00am to 12:00noon
  • Ages:  5 yrs to 12 yrs
